I had swine flu.
What a glorious day indeed. Wednesday of the week before my hamster that I have had my entire college career passed away. As a way to avenge his death I guess, I then lost a bunch of money to online poker. The next day I woke up feeling ill and then that afternoon I got a phone call letting me know that my grand father had passed away. Emotionally distraught I rushed to Fredericksburg with my girlfriends car leaving her stranded at a basketball game in Richmond. The funeral was set for Tuesday which I had already made plans with my professors to miss class. However Monday morning I felt absolutely terrible but mostly figured it was stress. By the time Print I rolled around I couldn’t stand to be alive anymore so I went home after making a doctors appointment. At said doctors appointment, I had the delightful news that yes in fact I had swine flu and would not be able to attend my grand fathers funeral since I was so contagious with a 102 fever. This also meant I wasn’t able to go home for Thanksgiving until the fever passed since my mother is currently on chemo and can’t be exposed to anything as she has no immune system left.
so what
Swine flu sucks, be proactive and get the damn shot.

In the future when a highly contagious and prevalent form of the flu is going around the world, I will be proactive and get that damn shot.
